Hunt For The Kids

Connecting Montana landowners with hunters and fisherman to provide short-term access to private property.

Supporting St Matts

The St. Matthew's Blue and Gold Auction is a celebrated tradition that raises crucial funds for improvements to our school and tuition assistance for our families. It's one of our most important fundraising activities of the year. Montana community members generously donate to this auction so that our students and teachers can grow and thrive.

Hunting is another celebrated tradition within our community.  We are looking to connect with Montana landowners to auction off the opportunity for short-term hunting leases.  These limited leases would generate much needed funds to help support our students and teacher.

Short Term Leases

Access to quality hunting opportunities is a privilege many hunters and fisherman are willing to pay for.  Day leases are an agreement between a private landowner and sportsman to allow limited access for a fee.  These leases are common in many states and sometimes referred to as a "Trespassing Fee".  For example, a hunter may be willing to pay $500 to hunt a farmer's field for White Tail deer during the first week of General Fire Arm Season.  Another example, a father and son may want access to hunt Turkey during the spring and are willing to pay $300 for access to a ranch for a weekend.

These leases are generally limited to a few days, but ultimately the landowner can predetermine the lease duration. Landowners outline the rules and expectations for sportsman accessing their properties. Landowners can also outline the species and geographic boundaries of the opportunity.  Land owners outline method of hunting (Archery, Rifle, Shotgun) and number or permitted hunters.
