Our Middle Schoolers worked hard to transform our upper floor hallway into 1917 Portugal, to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of Our Lady’s apparitions to three shepherd children in Fatima, Portugal.
The lockers were transformed with grass, and green hills with sheep. The sky appeared overhead, complete with clouds. Trees grew in the hallway, and rocks appeared on the landing.
The miracles that Our Lady revealed to the children are revealed to you as you walk down the hallway. Newspapers from 1917 show some of the major world events happening at the time.
When you reach the landing, a vision of Our Lady of Fatima is seen in the windows, and silhouettes of the 3 children, Jacinta, Lucia, and Francisco.
Our middle schoolers were available to give tours to anyone interested, practicing their "Amazing Shake" skills such as eye contact, body language, clear speaking voice, and a great handshake.
All of our Dare to be a Saint choirs contributed to the effect, and students were happy to show off the final product.
